Description

The first appearance of the Legion of Super Heroes

Re-imagined from the iconic splash page in Adventure Comics #247, April 1958. Created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino.

11.5" X 16.5", tonal pencil drawing on 240 gr bristol.

Recent re-interpretation of simpler and more innocent days.

Very nice homage. I love that it works on a different level as well. This piece perfecly demonstrates how far the field of comic art has evolved and advanced. Stronger page layouts and composition, accurate, more dynamic anatomy, realistic light and shade, etc. Simply better art all the way around. Excellent job.
