DescriptionThose of you who have visited my gallery more than once know well by now of my enthusiasm for Comfort Love & Adam Withers' magnum opus, The Uniques. Simply put: Reading it is the single most enjoyment I've gotten out of the comics medium in the last twenty years. It's just that damn good.That said, when I discovered that the creative duo behind the book had made the cover to the Omnibus--collecting all of the issues of the comic to date--available for purchase, I think you could measure the time that I wasted in contacting them to make it my own in picoseconds (or is that yoctoseconds?). Based on the way it made me feel--like a kid, reading comics for the first time--I think that it's completely appropriate that it now represents the first cover in my collection. Those of you reading this right now...enjoy the art. Then, waste as little time as I did in buying the book itself. Maybe you'll get lucky and snag a copy. It's okay. You can thank me later for it. Thanks, Mrs. Love & Mr. Withers for the outstanding artwork...but I want to thank you even more for the feeling I got reading the book. A bit of childhood regained: Those types of things can't be purchased--at any price. :D Social/Sharing |

Beautiful. Clean, strong lines that capture the characters unique personalities. And can I just say the the wings in the background are just awesome? They seem to go on forever! Carlos, your description really made me smile. I would consider this a perfect marriage of great art and a tremendous fan. I now pronounce you 'Man and Cover Art'.. you many now frame this gorgeous piece. ;)

Congratulations on your first cover, it's a really nice one! Knowing your enjoyment of the comic and your close relationship with the creators, makes this a Grail of the highest order!
