Description

All-Star Squadron preview p02 of 14 from Justice League of America 193 (1981)
Cover dated August 1981, was on sale in May 1981. Those Free DC Preview comics inserted into other titles were great back in the day. This one in JLA #193 gained them a fan until Sept 2011 for me the company ceased to exist.

A grail page for me which I remember well from my childhood. It was from the first book I ever read that had the 1940's JSA. The race between the GA GL, Flash, WW is based on the cover to Comic Cavalcade #1 (1942).

Jerry Ordway's work on those early All-Star Squadron issues represents some of my all-time favorite inking.

This page once resided in the Jerry Bails collection and was featured in:
