Encre de Chine pour la planche 17 de cet album, 5�me album de la s�rie, publi� en 1971 aux �ditions Dupuis. Pr�publi�e dans le journal Spirou n�1654 en 1969.

Cette planche est � tous points de vue la plus belle et la plus repr�sentative de cet album. Le personnage en costume ray� pr�nomm� Choesels est une caricature de Peyo. Walth�ry raconte � Je lui ai fait la surprise et il a trouv� �a tr�s amusant ! �. Cette planche a �t� dessin�e par Fran�ois Walth�ry sous la direction de Peyo. Le cirque Bodoni est librement inspir� du cirque fran�ais Bouglione, qui plantait chaque automne son chapiteau place Flagey � Ixelles. En octobre 1969, Peyo et Walth�ry souhaitant se documenter sur le monde du cirque, furent accueillis par Sampion Bouglione pour visiter la m�nagerie et les coulisses du cirque. Peyo, comme rarement au cours de sa carri�re, cherchera � se documenter pour la r�alisation de cet album, ce afin de coller au plus pr�s � la r�alit� de ce milieu si secret.

In all respects, this is the most wonderful and representative strip from this album. The character in the striped suit called Choesels is a caricature of Peyo. Walth�ry states �I drew it as a surprise, and he was very amused!�. This strip was illustrated by Fran�ois Walth�ry under the aegis of Peyo. Le Cirque Bodoni is freely inspired by the Bouglione French Circus, which would set up its big top each year in Ixelles at Place Flagey. In October 1969, Peyo and Walth�ry wanting to find out more about the world of the circus, were welcomed by Sampion Bouglione to visit the circus zoo and behind-the-scenes. Peyo wanted to seek information for the production of this album, something which was quite rare in his career, so as to ensure he stuck very close to the reality of this highly secretive world.
