Description

Woody Kimbrell is best known for having done the Little Lulu comic strip in the 1950's-1960's. In fact, that's the only thing said about him most of the time. Talk about missing your calling. He also did cartoons for the Sex to Sexty, the last of the popular girlie cartoon magazines, presumably after his Lulu gig ran out. To me this screams 1970. The gag is unusally lame, though I will say, the girl certainly did recover her figure after having the baby. I'd prefer something along the lines of, "Then, of course, he left me for someone younger and prettier."

This reminds me of a case I presided over in small claims court. It involved a real life lady about as young and pretty as this one in the cartoon (with a similar hemline) who was suing for expenses she incurred for a wedding that her fiance ran out on. I don't recall how I ruled, but I remember being astonished that any hetero single man could turn down the chance to sleep with her. Then I remembered that it was the 1980's and he probably had had her lots of times.
