Frank P�'s work has always displayed a strong fascination for animals and the environment. He studied in Brussels at the Institute Sint-Lukas, and appeared for the first time in Spirou in 1973. After some illustration work for the Nature-Jeunesse section, he created the character of 'Broussaille' in 1979. Not an actual comics character at first, 'Broussaille' appeared in several somewhat editorial notes about nature. The character eventually appeared in several poetic short stories, followed by some long continuing stories scripted by Bom. In the early 1980s, Frank also drew strips about 'L'�lan', that illustrated the mailbox section.

In a more realistic style, Frank illustrated the exotic story 'Comme un Animal en Cage', an adventure of 'Vincent Murat', with a script by Terence. While continuing his poetic series 'Broussaille', he made 'Zoo' in the Aire Libre collection, a story about a zoo in Normandy during World War II (text by Philippe Bonifay). In 1993, he developed the series 'Matur' for the Japanese Kodansha publishers. As an animator, he has cooperated on the Warner Bros production 'Excalibur, The Magic Sword'. Frank P� is is very likely the only comic artist who has bred 50 reptiles, among which sixteen crocodiles.
