Description

I don't know what this is from, so I appreciate any help. It's drawn on the same Dell/Western paper Jesse did Tarzan on, but that ain't Tarzan. Anyway, it has all the goods that make Mr. Marsh great. If I have to explain it, you won't get it. Toth loved him and that should be good enough!

So you either bought this from me or from someone who bought it off me at a Kansas City ComiCon sometime in the '90s. I had bought it in one of Philip Weiss's (now seen on The Antiques Roadshow) phone in auctions that would go on until no one bid for 15 minutes. I lost a lot of sleep but got some great deal on art back then.

I think it came from Heritage, Greg, so it's been around!

As has all of the art I foolishly sold (and the current owners paying roughly 10 times what I did when I first sold it a decade or two back). I think this is maybe the 3rd piece you own that I used to have though.

Except one has the wherewithal to hold onto more stuff (or at least not as strapped for cash). I paid $19 for it & it arrived a few days before the con. The guy who bought it was looking through my art pile and it was on the bottom. He asked how much and remembering Philip Weiss' estimate was $70-$100, I said $70 and he snapped it up. I should have said a $100. The thing is the consignor was at the con, presumably local. I think it was for some Tarzan text story but could be wrong.

Any Chance this is an early filler page from Turok?  I don't have a full run of them so I can't check and I am not sure if the repritns included the fillers. I own a ful lrun of Tarzan but don't remember this page . The otehr option would be a caveman related Dell movie adaptation!

It's a Dell board, so there's a good chance on the adaptation front.
