DescriptionFor reasons unknown, Curt Swan drew what appears to be the entire "Skull & Bone" issue number three before Ed Hannigan drew his version. There are plenty of examples from this unpublished version of the comic available on ebay and elsewhere, but no one has ever said why they exist. Hannigan drew the first two, so why have Swan draw the third, only to discard it? Was it a miscommunication? Help with layout? Who knows?Anyway, I got two of these pages and below you can see how the story unfolded in the final product (the published version stretches the unpublished material over a page and a half). I have also tried to approximate what the dialogue might have looked attached to Swan's pencils. (In the case of this page, I also did some editing to get as much of the information as I could onto one page.) Social/Sharing |
