"THE PEOPLE'S FRIEND CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 2010 COVER" ORIGINAL ARTWORK BY UK ILLUSTRATOR ANDY WALKER. This is a high quality, full colour acrylic painting on thick art board originally commissioned and published in 2010 by D C Thomson as the front cover for "THE PEOPLE'S FRIEND CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 2010". The People's Friend is a direct descendant of the classic fiction journals of the 19th and 20th centuries illustrated by the likes of Norman Rockwell and Arthur Rackham!! The brief here was to show a family leaving church on a traditional, snowy Christmas Eve!! This is a highly collectible piece of published, illustrative artwork signed by the artist!! Size of painted area: 257 X 330mm.
