DescriptionBrendan McCarthy has been one of my favourite artists for a very, very long time now, so when he agreed to do a commissioned piece for me, I was understandably floored. He said that hardly ever does these (although it looks like it might even be his first commission), so I was more than a little bit honoured that he took this on.I floated the idea of a piece based around any of the classic Milligan & McCarthy Strange Days characters: Mirkin the Mystic, Paradax, Rudcliff and Williams... I indicated that while an ensemble piece would be amazing, I was happy to leave it to him and he could just take it where he wanted. The prelim that came through blew me away... If you have sharp eyes you may be able to make out the newspaper headline, "Moby Train Sighted" - a reference to the Milligan & McCarthy Electrick Hoax strip that appeared in Sounds back in 1978 (I only figured out that reference when David Hine posted some episodes on his blog recently).
