DescriptionJay Scott Pike started his career as a regular contributor to Atlas Comics, drawing in a variety of genres including westerns, true crime, war, and of course romance. He also did jungle adventure stories, working on Lorna, the Jungle Girl and co-creating Jann of the Jungle.He worked for Atlas/Marvel into the 1960's. His final stories were "When a Romance Ends" (Love Romances #87 (May 1960)), and this story, "Love Or Infatuation?", written by Stan Lee,(Love Romances #105 (May 1963)). Pike moved to DC Comics in the mid-1960s, doing many romance stories. He is fondly remembered for creating Dolphin, the undersea superheroine in Showcase #79 (Dec. 1968). Here is the art for the story Love or Infatuation written by Stan Lee with art by Jay Scott Pike. Known for his romance art, not a lot of his twice up art remains... and even less of this quality.
