DescriptionWhen I got into original art a few years ago, this gorgeous Greg Horn cover was my very first acquisition (along with a fantastic Jim Lee Gen 13 page that I'll post later).My friend and fellow CAF gallery member, Dan Gallo, let the two pieces go from his collection through a mutually beneficial trade. He knew I was new to art and kind of intimidated by the whole thing, so he did everything he could to make it a smooth and stress-free transaction. Many thanks to you, Dan! I tell you, there is nothing like opening up your very first piece of original art. Do you all remember that feeling? I didn't even know HOW to open a package of art. I kept thinking I'd accidentally slice through the bristol board with my scissors. I had to call Dan to talk me through the process. I felt like a fledgling surgeon doing his first hernia operation. This piece represents everything that's cool about comic art: rarity/uniqueness (Greg only did 22 Elektra covers), beauty of character (hey, it's Elektra!), legendary artist (hey, it's Greg Horn!), extreme attention to detail (just look at Elektra's hair!), and nostalgia (I remember reading these books over 10 years ago and going gaga over the art). Then about six months after buying the cover, I met Greg Horn at the Miami Supercon, which added a new dimension to the whole art experience. Besides being extremely talented, he is a super cool guy. So I'm very proud and excited to share this Greg Horn Elektra cover with you all. Social/Sharing |

Having owned seven Greg Horns covers at one time, this was my favorite of all the Elektras that I had. I didn't want to part with it but it was the one you really wanted and knowing you were just getting started I let it go. I still wish you would have taken the other one but I am glad you got the cover you wanted.

I just spent some time hangin' with Greg at the Miami Supercon today (Jun 29, 2012) - I met him for the first time last year at the same convention. Very charismatic, VERY talented guy, and I LOVE owning one of his covers.

I love the cover work that Greg Horn did for the Marvel Knights Elektra series... #3 is my favorite, but this cover to the silent issue is a close 2nd. Awesome piece by a very talented artist. Thanks for sharing it brother!
