Cover to Vixen Issue 5 by Joshua Middleton

As per Joshua, this original art mixed media piece was created as follows:

This cover was created with a combination of digital and traditional techniques. First, a foundation was created in Photoshop, with all of the initial drawing and color completed digitally. This basic image was then printed onto heavy paper and worked over with color pencils and acrylic paint. The image was then scanned back into the computer and used as the cover of the book.

* 13 x 19 inches, 10 x 15 inch image area
* Ink jet print, color pencil, and acrylic
* Heavy paper

Wow! Tell us more about the mixed media. Josh usually works finished pencils and does everything else on computers. If he is using traditional paints and media I'll be ecstatic.
