Description

In February of this year (2012), we lost a great man and a great artist. He co-created such memorable characters as Ace the Bat Hound, Batgirl, Bat Woman, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and BAT-MITE!

I met Shelly at the 2011 Miami Supercon. I had the pleaure of visiting with him, listening to him speak at a special panel, and having him sign some of the DC comics that he drew.

Bat-Mite is one of my favorite characters, so I was thrilled to be able to buy one of his original Bat-Mite drawings from him personally.

I'm including additional photos of Sheldon and me.

I'm proud to share this original piece by the great Sheldon Moldaff.

I agree. This piece means as much to me as some of the big pieces I've acquired. It certainly brings back fond memories of meeting Shelly and hanging out with him a little bit. Plus, I've been told that I look a lot like Bat-Mite.
