DescriptionI always liked the cover to Journey Into Mystery #89 and it always caught my eye every time I saw it.I also enjoyed John Romita Jr.'s 25 issue run on Thor and thought a lot of some of the great storytelling over the course of those two years and when the opportunity to have a Romita Jr commission came my way, I knew it had to be Thor, and it had to be based on the cover to JIM 89. That was the easy part. The more challenging decision was who to ink it? I thought about asking Walt Simonson, Scott Williams, and Dexter Vines, to name a few. But the more I thought about the image, the 'classic' pose, the more I realized the need for a 'classic' inker, and I could think of none more qualified than John Romita Sr., and he delivered big-time. I am very happy with this piece, and pleased to share with CAF members. Social/Sharing |
