Fabulous! Love the foreground/background 3-D effect! Colours are vibrant and lively, too 🤟
Curt Swan can do no wrong on Superman. Congrats on picking up this beauty!
Hi, there. Its a great piece, but not a pin-up. Its a 'partial cover element' to the published cover for Ultimate FF #6. It may have been published later in a DK book on Marvel Comics, but at this point my memor is a bit faulty.
Folks, as the original owner of this piece, and after several conversations with Dale, I can assure you that he was not trying to emulate McFarlane or his successor, Jeff Purves.
In fact, Dale got his inspiration from John Byrne.
Congrats on obtaining your holy grail, Ruben. Its something very few of us can truly accomplish in this hobby.
This cover is interesting on so many levels: Wendigo (tie-in villain to 1st appearance of Wolverine), Sasquatch (tie-in to Uncanny X-Men and Alpha Flight).
Al is my all-time favourite artist so I was pleasantly surprised to see this wonderful example in your gallery.
Al captured the mood in this panel so perfectly that you could cut the tension with a knife. Pure genious, and one of the top 3 Corrigan strips of all time. Congrats!
Yes, very reminiscent of the ASM 249 cover.
FYI, Byrne illustrated the ASM 249 cover, not JR Jr
Hanna's spectacular inks really make this splash sing!
Just seeing this for the first time now, and it's a wonderful cover. Congrats!
Clearly, Judy was the inspiration for Flavor Flav and his watch fetish :)
The display of the Hulk's rage is downright scary here. Tim Sale really hit a home run with this page.
I can't believe this awesome page hasn't received any comments. Let me be the 1st to congratulate you!
I was the underbidder on this one...after seeing it again, I definitely shown have thrown some more bids at it.
Great commission idea, Douggie!
Geez, I've been looking for this one for over 20 years! Congrats on digging it up and sharing it with the rest of us mortals 🤣
Bruh, this should be a published cover or at least a poster. Spectacular!
Really nice artwork by Booth. Far too nice to be in your collection, Jason ;-)
I keep coming back to this awesome piece, at least three or four times a year and I'm still amazed at how incredible it is
Wonderful cover that captures the current storyline perfectly. Peter/Norman team up is well written and memorable.
I was replying to your question about why I sold this cover in the first place, and I did it in order to raise funds to purchase a Keown Hulk cover. Never intended to indicate that you sold this piece 😉
Damn, Kasra...this is way too nice to be in your CAF - it belongs in mine! 🤣
Just saw this page for the first time today and I had to do a double-take. Its incredible to think that Spidey and Venom teamed up to work together against the larger threat to innocents...Carnage. Congrats!
What can I say that hasn't already been said? The best of the best. Period.
Just ask Romita Jr...Al Williamson's inks made his stuff look good.
I've looked at this 3 page sequence dozens of times and I'm convinced this is the best three page sequence in the book. Furthermore, this is, without question, Miller's best work. Period.
Nice pick up, Mike! I was thinking about getting this piece soley for the J Jonah Jameson panel. Oh, that hideous smile!
Time and time again, Williamson proves that he's the man! Congrats on the page
Hilarious! I was the original owner of this cover. Glad it made its way to CAF for all to see!
I always wondered where this cover was. I'm so happy to find it in your collection. Congrats, mon ami!
Love the colours. Very reminiscent of the ASM 250 cover by Romita Jr
Love the colours. Very reminiscent of the ASM 250 cover by Romita Jr
I was the consignor of this piece and I can confirm two things:
1. The Stan Lee signature is authentic
2. As many have mentioned, this was the steal of the auction...it should have sold for at least 50% more than you paid
Enjoy!
Excellent Sinister Six goodness from Bagley. Congrats, Doug!
Jose is incredible! There are very few artists who would even attempt to illustrate this perspective, let alone pull it off so successfully!
Baldo Smudge? LOL!!! what a great tip of the hat to Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson's character from Creepy #1 :)
That 3rd panel...what a sinster stare. You just know that Gooby is up to no good!
I've owned this piece twice in the past, and I still love it today. I have no recollection as to why I haven't kept it, but congrats on acquiring this magnificent painting!
