Description

"A crooked house for a crooked man."

When the Prometheus one-shot hit as part of the New Year's Evil fifth-week-event in 1997/1998, I was hooked. Morrison's JLA was just barely over a year old, and an awesome-looking anti-Batman was going to single-handedly take them down. It was one of those iconic moments where I just really connected with the character, the story, and what the whole creative team was doing.

I'd started collecting comic art around '93, and I remembered thinking how cool this page would look framed on the wall, if I could ever get ahold of it. Well, in the 13 years since, Arnie Jorgensen went into video games and as I'd never seen any interiors from the issue pop up, I'd pretty much lost hope. Leave it to CAF's growing draw to lure Dave Meikis, inker of these great issues, to post his share of the pages, including this one! Dave was incredibly easy to work out a deal with, and I'm very glad to add this page to my collection.

Anybody who knows me knows I'm a pretty big Prometheus fan. I even brought it up on my blog about a year ago! http://qurl.com/nds4q

Furthermore, much like Elvis or 2Pac fans, I refuse to believe Prometheus is dead, despite evidence to the contrary.
