This page shows the first appearance of the Star-Lord costume!Star-Lord was created by Steve Englehart and Steve Gan. The son of a human mother and alien father, Peter Quill assumes the mantle of Star-Lord, an interplanetary policeman. In the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies he’s played by actor Chris Pratt. What an amazing splash. I always dug his costume because it's so cool but never read the magazine. Now you just reminded me to put this on my to buy list.

Great score from a classic Marvel B&W mag - such cool design on this page, and a good sense of weight to the finishes.

It's a great page from a great issue....but could that station be any more phallic?!? Amazing the gags artists would slip into their work.
