DescriptionReno Jones and Kid Cassidy are THE GUNHAWKS! This is the end page to the story "The Night They Rode Old Dixie Down," published in December 1972.Quentin Tarantino loves old Western comic books and they were an inspiration to him in the creation of his film "Django Unchained." Here's what QT had to say: “Growing up I read the adventures of Kid Colt Outlaw, Tomahawk, The Rawhide Kid, Bat Lash, and especially, Yang (which was basically the Kung Fu TV show done as a comic), and Gunhawks featuring Reno Jones (a Jim Brown stand-in) and Kid Cassidy (a David Cassidy stand-in), which for my money was the greatest Blaxploitation Western never made.” Social/Sharing |
