Batsman by Steve Scott

I initially talked with Steve about this commission at the 2012 Wizard World New Orleans show, after the legendary Mr. Bob Shaw introduced me to him. Since Steve wasn't drawing any commissions at the show, we decided that he would draw it at home at a later date, after we had set everything up over e-mails. Bob and Steve made this a smooth transaction, and I couldn't be happier with the results! I sometimes wonder if all of the artists drawing Batsman for me are in a competition to see who can draw the most bats, because I think Steve may have won with this one. I like to think that this is what Batsman looks like in the Batcave, with his robotic smart bats mixing with real bats as they swarm through the air. Also, I love the effects Steve put where the bats are disconnecting from Batsman's outfit. Anyway, I love this commission and must thank both Steve and Bob again for it!

Highly cool. Love the style and the layout. Almost looks like Batman's cape deconstructs into bats. Wouldn't that be a cool twiat to his arsenal? A cape that can turn into bats and reform into his cape ala Iron Man Extremis armor.
