DescriptionThis is my original hand-painted coloring for the cover of the Batman graphic novel 'Full Circle' - pencils and inks by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer. Unlike simple color guides that are coded for the separator, and which are never intended for publication, full process coloring is the actual artwork that was photographed for printing. (This is not the Davis/Farmer original art - but rather is a stat made of the artwork, printed on Strathmore paper with acetate overlay; then hand colored by me with Dr. Martin dyes, and then photographed, with the type and logo added for publication). This page measures approximately 10x14This cover is from the days before digital coloring on the computer, and full-process hand painting of artwork was considered a true craft. I'm proud of the work I did during this period - and the coloring done with these dyes is just as incredibly bright and vibrant as the day I first put brush to paper. I'm asking $250 for this cover. If this doesnt go this week im keeping this one myself. Social/Sharing |
