Mandrake the Magician

Mandrake the Magician, Mandrake the Man of Mistery. How many hours I’ve spent at young reading his incredible adventures, first into magic and then into SciFi. Lee Falks first character began in 1934 and it introduced a new genre in comics: the Magic! Then, with the years passing by, Falk modified the magic feature into a hypnotic one and, expecially in the sunday version, he plunged the character in a sequence of fantasy and SciFi stories. Mandrake was drawn by Phil Davis for more than 30 years. Then, after few months in the hands of his wife Martha, who assured the end of the running story, the strip was taken over by Fred Fredericks with a young, sketchy, style.
