L.E.G.I.O.N. art

L.E.G.I.O.N. '89 debuted in 1989 and reached issue #70 (as L.E.G.I.O.N. '94 in 1994). L.E.G.I.O.N. stands for Licensed Extra-Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network. The lead-in to this series was the Invasion! mini-series. Vril Dox leads a band of escapees from Starlag to form an extraterrestrial police force. The members had many tie-ins to the Legion of Super-Neroes including: -Vril Dox II (Brainiac 2) ancestor of Brainiac 5. -The Durlan (nameless shapeshifting alien) later revealed to be Legion of Super-Heroes benefactor R. J. Brande. -Lyrissa Mallor (champion of Talok VIII) ancestor of Shadow Lass. -Phase - originally she was Phantom Girl of the Legion of Super-Heroes, later retconned to be Apparition's second self. -Lar Gand (Valor, Mon-El) -Lydea Mallor (Lyrissa Mallor's daughter) -Lyrl Dox (Brainiac 3)
