There was a bitter taste on thy lips. Was it the taste of blood? Nay; but perchance it was the taste of love. They say that love hath a bitter taste...
When I first became interested in the story of Salome and John the Baptist, I didn't know exactly why it was so interesting to me, but it was a dramatic and unusual subject to ask artists to sketch. However, as time passed, I realized the themes that run through the story have been an important part of my personal life.
