Wonder Woman v2 164 to 188 Phil Jimenez. Jan 2001 - Mar 2003

Say what you like about Phil as a writer (and I think he is wrongly maligned) I don't think Wonder Woman has ever had a creator who loved her and her sister Donna so much. He was only meant to fill in for a couple of issues and stayed over two years. Nobody can argue about his quality as an artist. Anyone who has George Perez as an idol is alright in my book. Check out Hippolyta's death scene, probably one of the most poignant and realistic in comics. It's not pretty but it is incredibly powerful.
