S C I U S C I A'
La saga di Sciuscià nasce nella vulcanica mente del giovane editore e scrittore Tristano Torelli, dopo aver visto l'omonimo film di Vittorio De Sica. La serie fu pubblicata nel formato striscia, all'epoca il più popolare, e si sviluppa in un lungo susseguirsi di avventure che durano dal gennaio 1949 al 1955. La prima serie (22 gennaio 1949) è di 144 albi. La secoda (30 settembre 1951) di 96 albi, sempre a striscia. La terza (1 settembre 1953) ha formato quadratino,di 86 albi, condivisi con NAT DEL SANTA CRUZ. La quarta, è pubblicata nella quarta serie del PICCOLO SCERIFFO formato libretto. SCIUSCIA' narra le avventure (sarebbe meglio dire le "disavventure") di tre ragazzi: Nico, subito dopo chiamato SCIUSCIA' (da shoe-scine=lustrascarpe), FIAMMETTA ed il lentigginoso PANTERA, è il più importante fumetto neorealista del dopoguerra, scritto e sceneggiato dallo stesso editore, contemporaneamente all'altra sua serie di successo Il Piccolo Sceriffo. Quando gli impegni editoriali saranno più pressanti T.Torelli sarà affiancato nella stesura delle sceneggiature dalla scrittrice Giana (Giannina) Anguissola (1906-1966), già collaboratrice del Corriere dei Piccoli.
