Flip Fermin (26/11/1947 - 25/01/1994, The Netherlands) was a promising artist, but unfortunately his talents never came to bloom. After his study at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Fermin came in contact with the artists of 'Tante Leny' (Swarte, Pontiac). Although he was very influenced by the underground comix and classical newspaper comics, the few stories he did were for children's magazines - one page of 'Robur & Pennekamp' for Mickey Maandblad and a short story of 'Katoen & Pinball' for Jippo. Besides being editor of the magazine Inkt, his illustrations and a short strip appeared in the Bussumse Courant and 'Tante Leny Presenteert'.
