Nick Manabat
One of the great Phillipino artists to emerge during the Image boom of the 90's only to be taken too soon by cancer. Nick's work is incredibly dense and he definitely had the makings of comic book royalty. He is missed, but definitely not forgotten. These Nick Manabat pieces are the only published ones that the family is releasing to the public-- the rest to remain with the family as a keepsake of Nick and what he loved to do. These published pieces, all from the Wetworks Sourcebook, are the only four published pieces of Nick in the comic art community. The other pages I have are unfinished art, sketches, and alternate takes on the published versions. My intent is to hold on to the Mother One illustration (worth the look if you haven't seen it) but I am willing to take offers for the others and share his work with this awesome comic art community. I will also consider trades from anyone but am mainly interested in work from Charest, Mignola, Darrow. I am proud to own these and hope that by sharing these that someone may rediscover Nick's fantastic work or fall in love with it for the first time.
