DescriptionPerhaps this is too traditional a team up, but who am I to pass up such a stellar Kirby-esque Rude piece that was created to honor the King. Steve was asked to "Wake up and Draw" on Heroes designated day of August 28, 2017 (Jack Kirby’s birthday), whatever he liked…and then auction off to benefit Hero Initiative. Introduced a year after Captain America, Simon and Kirby's other super-shield character, Guardian, was introduced in 1942. He was reintroduced in 1971 by Kirby, in the pages of Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen, as a clone of the original. There is more to the story but, after all, when isn't there? |
