Let’s talk angles, Michael. This drawing is very angular… maybe too angular. Even a broken window has a few curved edges. The symbol on his chest is too sharp. It doesn’t have the curves that over the years have made the bat-symbol such an icon. Even in the old time “crash, boom, plow” Adam West batman episodes the insignia was curved. Not a lot, but more than in this post. A softer stroke and more flowing lines might give your art the comic feel you’re looking for. Posted on 2/19/2004 |
