Amazing Cover ! In my opinion, de La Torre is the next John Buscema.

Wonderful.  Rare to see his paint over his classic compositions.  It adds a depth and darkness that is more atmospheric than a comic colorist could achieve.

The panel breaking images are a great visual touch as well as the nice choices in borders to break time and storybeats.

Ultra Metallo must be a crossover with The Sleeper.  Everything by Gibbons makes this adventure so clean and true to the spirit of the event and franchises.

Dark and foreboding atmosphere!  When they do the red glyphs, you know it's magazine style and we'll get some mature themes out of this.

Great 70's page that was bringing Batman back to his stature to be one of the most dark and mysterious pulp hero.  The images and him breaking the fourth wall directly are a stunning way for the storytellers to put the audience on notice.

I know who has all the pages from prog 228 but he would kill me if I let that cat out of the bag and he does not want to sell. Hopefully if he ever reads this he might sell them to me! Lol.

Only an artist as superb as Dave Gibbons could survive the awful colouring and printing in 'Quality' comics. You should get 2000ad prog 229 or the first Titan Rogue Troper book to see this story the way it was meant to be seen. Lovely page. How you got it from the guy who owned it previously is a mystery. Hes Rogue mad.

Great artifact find!  The history behind it and its importance might as well be considered a first appearance of Batman in the Silver Age, much like when villains got revived.

Wrightson may have been utilizing a new art style with this series, but he still knew how to play up the moments of horror quite nicely. 

Such an incredible transformation page, my god, you can feel the emotional and physical anguish in the last panel!

Well for all intents and purposes, Levi IS the new Swamp Thing. Alec is dead, and although everyone loves Alec because he's the original, it' safe to say that every story imaginable has already been done with him, and it really is a perfect time to move on. The series has been very well reviewed by fans and critics and so far DC is happy with the sales, so I feel confident that DC will greenlight a Season Two, and if that happens, I have a strong feeling that Ram and Mike will really begin to delve deeper into the mythology and expand on it, thereby setting it up to be one of the best runs on the character of all time. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope Season Two gets that greenlight!

A subject matter that matters to Simonson.  Very tight drawing and its age gives it extra charm and added character.

A letter to lure Batman to show up, because he wants Robin in the Penthouse at midnight.  Robin seals the envelope personally with his tongue.  Was that really necessary?  Will the Batcomputer come to the same conclusion as we?  Nice half page full of just Robin things by Bob Brown who took the perogative to turn this Boy Wonder into a Man.

Batman recruits a team.   He knows they will join because he studied their files and know they are bound by circumstance.  Fisher gives Batman and each recruit their own distinct personalities and a visual look that defines who they are and to emphasize their strengths.  Fisher's meticulous lineswork is bound within defined areas of rendering of the page.  Within those bounds, he goes all out and fits in everything he can.  The title of the story is "Bound".

It might interest you to know that I have sold page from this series to quite a few collectors of Indian origin since the series began. So we have several Indian collectors, buying art from a comic written by an Indian writer, featuring a new character of Indian origin. I think it's really quite wonderful!

OK... new look Batman... GO !!!  Kids that bought this comic off the rack did not know how this book may have saved DC Comics.
