Congratulations Monty! This is such a stunning piece!! Museum quality, the 1st story out of 38395 stories (now) according to COA users, from Barks' best period. There is so rarely for sale Barks' pages from 1940s & 1950s! I don't have even idea when it was sold previously, could it be from the first owner after Barks? You should dig out its provenance, this is part of cultural heritage in Barks' fandom! ;-)

This early (pre y1980) Garfield is for sure 100% by Jim Davis himself! ;-)

Congratulations! :-) This is very nice and rare artwork! There is not much Barks' comic book artwork from 1950s. Inducks is not always clear enough, this half page had its world premier in Finland in 1976, published in Aku Ankka 1976:7. Next time in Michael Barrier's Barks book in 1981.

Congratulations! This is the hobby on its best; reconstructing artwork which thought to be destroyed & separated - and now brought together. There is not that many examples of this putting together 2pcs separated Barks' half pages, even among those half pages which are known to exist; actually is there any other half pages brought together?

This is outstanding museum quality art! Perfect in many ways: artwork itself, its composition, wording, how it links into the history of Scrooge, and Barks himself as well. How it survived and you dug it out is another great story. I am very happy it is now in your collection!
