Amazing splash page from Michael Fleisher's classic run. Jim Aparo drew a menacing Spectre and a lot of his best art came from his work on this run in depicting the Spirit of Vengeance using his powers of manipulating reality to punish villains in the most creative and macabre manner!

Great tribute to Ray Harryhausen who was also included to the scene hiding under a log. Love Budd's take on the Ymir from 20 Million Miles to Earth and all the fine details he put in to bring out the texture of the scales on the creature!
 

Xuthal of the Dusk was probably one of Howard's best Conan stories that had a very interesting theme to its plot. Really beautiful page that showcases Mark Schultz's talent for pulp style art that matches the tone of Howard's fantasy world he built in the Hyborian Age. Congrats on a great pickup!

Beautiful page! Even in the final years of his career Carmine Infantino's art never diminished in fine details and quality.

Love the Tempus Fugit storyline. Great page of Fin Fang Foom trying to swallow Hulk after he was deviant enough to yank out his tongue and almost curb stomp him!

Beautiful page of Hulk and Caiera in a peaceful setting that's rare on Sakaar. The serene tone of the page is very similar to the scene from Gladiator where Maximus is walking through the wheat field that's supposed to be Elysium.

Alan Davis still draws the best Captain Britan! Really dynamic cover of a battle damaged Brian Braddock in his torn costume standing among the bodies of the defeated members of the Captain Britain Corps from various deminsions that include Captain U.K. and Spider-U.K. Congrats!

Really morbid end page! This was probably one of the best short stories to come out of Star Wars Tales that was told entirely from the point of view of the Stormtrooper that Pricess Leia shot in the first film. Congrats!

Beautiful tribute to Alan Grant who was a talented writer and set the bench mark for so many great comic characters! Really fitting that Val Semeiks who worked with Alan on multipe DC titles like The Demon and Lobo was the one to do this piece.

30 years later and this scene of Madrox getting knocked out by Kermit the Frog at the Smithsonian is still an absolute riot! Peter David's humor was top notch in this series that included wordplay, pop culture references, running gags, physical humor, and funny dialogue! Larry Stroman's hyper exaggerated style of drawing really added to the comedic tone of this new incarnation of the X-Factor title that David put together in the aftermath of the Muir Island Saga.

Love this cover of the Devaronian smuggler and bounty hunter Vilmarh Grahk and how it really depicts him as a devious and untrustwothy scoundrel who would most likely shoot his own partner in the back rather than share the reward on a bounty collected.

Amazing cover depicting a frightening scene of a salvage diver who stumbles onto the resting place of Skinner Sweet. It kinds of reminds me of the story from Alan Moore's Swamp Thing where he played around with the concept of aquatic vampires being naturally adept underwater in a dark enviroment where light is unable to penetrate.

Really great page depicting the brutality of trench warfare that is hardly ever seen in the Star Wars universe where most of the battles are fought in the cockpit of a starfighter. I remember reading the Jabiim arc and thinking how grim it was. Every battle won was a Pyrrhic victory that made you question if the lives lost to gain that next hill was truly worth it. In the end there turns out to be no victor and both sides lost.

A very frightening winged terror indeed! Eric Powell draws top tier monsters that you would expect to find in a Guillermo Del Toro film.

Beautiful page layout with a lot of emotional depth. Garney's depiction of the Hulk really makes you feel sympathetic for the character who just wants to be left alone in peace.

Love how John McCrea depict the iconic opening scene from the first Star Wars movie where the Tantive IV is captured by an Imperial Star Destroyer over the orbit of Tatooine and Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers all make their very first appearance on screen! I have so many fond memories of Dark Horse Star Wars and it always brings me joy whenever I'm able to aquire an original page from one of the stories published in this era of Star Wars. John Ostrander's writing and Jan Duursema's art made the perfect combination for telling gripping sci fi stories.

Beautiful piece! Love Drew's choice of colors to depict the Rancor in an almost Frazeta's style of painting that often featured scenes of monsters with damsels in distress.  

Beautiful piece by Rafael Kayanan! It looks much more faithful to Edgar Rice Burroughs work and it's a shame that this adaptation never came into fruition. I keep holding out hope that one day an animated series for a mature audience will be made. Would love to see Genndy Tartakovsky take a shot at making a Princess of Mars series!

Great page of a young Luke Skywalker experiencing an epiphany through the Force while crossing the desert during a sand storm. I really enjoyed all the short vignettes from Star Wars Tales that Dark Horse published. A lot of them were pretty deep and profound in their storytelling.
