Daniel Warren Johnson - Extremity #2 p 15 Owner: Kevin A Comment posted on 10/3/2024
Marcus Wai said:
Beautiful skies of space, stars, and floating rocks just out of reach from the planet's gravity. A page of contemplation made spectacular! ![]() Well said! I don't want to think about the physics behind it, because there is nothing cooler than floating rocks. |

Glad you were able to nab one, man! That top panel...some legit scene setting there! These pages gettin' harder and harder to nab. Congrats! ![]() For some reason, everyone seems to love holding onto their Extremity art. Pretty selfish if you ask me. I'm keeping mine forever only because nobody else will let go of theirs. That's it. It's their fault I'm greedy too. |

Optimus Prime (Transformers) by Daniel Warren Johnson Owner: K Gearon Comment posted on 7/24/2024 Congratulations on this beautiful piece. This has all of DWJ's signature touches, but this is so much more three-dimensional than I've ever seen him. |

Incredible Hulk Vol II (2004), Issue 64 pg. 20 - Mike Deodato, Jr Owner: T Shen Comment posted on 7/13/2024 One thing I love about the Hulk is that there are so many different ways to depict him that can still seem fitting and true to the character. But there's something about Hulk's uncontrollable rage and his frenetic, chaotic energy that has me drawn to this kind of representation. Deodato made him a monster, and that makes me happy. |

The Incredible Hulk 7, page 9 Owner: Tim J Comment posted on 7/13/2024 Klein's painterly style is perfect on this moody book, but my favorite thing about this page is the weight of the Hulk depicted here, which isn't something many other artists could deliver. |

Firestorm #3 Cover (2004) Owner: Nash of the Titans Comment posted on 7/13/2024 Omg I can't begin to tell you how many times I checked back in on this piece just hoping it'd still be around once I was ready for it. For as disappointed as I was once it disappeared, now I am equally happy that it found such a loving and appreciative home. This cover slays--such a cool perspective on it. ChrisCross was ahead of his time. Congratulations. |

Daniel Warren Johnson - Sinestro Annual #1 p 1 (Bekka of New Gods) Owner: Kevin A Comment posted on 5/5/2024
Marcus Wai said:
It's fantasic how DWJ pulls off part DC grandeur and part manga dynamic in the layout where there is no wasted panel in the fast paced storytelling. ![]() Exactly - and so much emotion too. How can Bekka be so surrounded by others and yet feel/look so isolated? Superb job by DWJ conveying all that in just a few panels. |

Daredevil #9 pg 2 & 3 DPS by Paolo Rivera Owner: K Gearon Comment posted on 5/4/2024 There's something unique that every step brought to the table--from the depth, composition, and shading of the pencils to the high contrast of the inks and then back to the depth of the scene with the final colors--this is a team working at a high level and firing on all cylinders. |

Marcus Wai said:
Miles was drawn by Bagley first and anytime he revisits the character is gold! Peter ages in real time in this series, so he finally meets up with Miles 4 decades plus after his own debut. ![]() Who needs a history book when you're around? Wolverine #900 pg 8 by David Finch Owner: K Gearon Comment posted on 12/27/2023 WHOA! Now this is a statement. Wolverine was made to brawl, and there's nothing better than him mowing through lackeys. Finch is so good. Each panel is perfection, but they add up to be greater than their individual parts through such stellar storytelling. |

Ian Bertram - Protector #3 Cover (renamed First Knife) Owner: Kevin A Comment posted on 12/27/2023
Bill J said:
OMG! What a terrific cover! Ian Bertram really showed the world what he could do in Little Bird. Protector was an offshoot of that story, but great in its own way. Ian didn't do the interiors but he did do the cover and it's a gorgeous piece of work, with all the detail and the intricate inking that Ian is famous for. Congratulations on a great pick-up! ![]() Thank you so much! Yes - I love that I can pretend that it's from the same cloth as Little Bird, but luckily, I also love the Protector story as well. |

Artist's Choice Commission Owner: Tyler T Comment posted on 12/20/2023 I love placing trust with the artist when it comes to a commission, because they'll usually invest more into a piece that they're excited to create. On top of that, there's nobody I would trust more than Bertram. Museums should be fighting over this - it's one of the most stunning works I've ever seen. Congrats on the special piece. |
||
|
Wolverine by Richard Pace Owner: K Gearon Comment posted on 12/20/2023 Stellar composition, but what keeps my eyes glued to this is the inking. It seems like one of those pieces where I wouldn't be able to decide which I liked better, being up close to marvel in all the details or to zoom out to see how they add up to give depth and definition. |

Sabretooth #3 pg 8 SPLASH by Bart Sears Owner: K Gearon Comment posted on 12/20/2023 He's mean, he's feral, and his idea of fun will not be fun for you. This is an amazing piece and as on point of a representation of Sabretooth as there ever has been. |

Scott Hepburn - Thor Vol 5 #14 p 20 Owner: Kevin A Comment posted on 11/10/2023
K Gearon said:
Nice page! I'm a fan of Hepburn's, too, and this is a great example of his stuff. A powerful looking Thor but clearly a Thor before he's...matured some. Just look at that expression :) Congrats! ![]() Haha I couldn't agree more. I love seeing Thor living out his version of "enjoying the moment" especially knowing the kinds of battles and trauma he'll face later on. |
