Perkins further deepens my appreciation for the first generaton of Bat-man. This is an incredible page. This Bat-man First Knight needs to be published in black and white to provide the atmospheric feel of what Bat-Man should be. The only other artist that came close to this feel is Enrique Alcatena, the Batman of Arkham. |

Dan Adkins an incredible student of the great Wally Wood. The last panel shows the influence of Wally Wood and allows one to imagine what could have been. The but, Adkins style isn't as expressive as Marie Severin when I examine the top 2/3 of the page. No slight on Dan Adkins, just an observation, on a stellar page. |
