Killer page, Mike. Such emotion and gravity. The loss emanates from this 2-dimensional art board-- a feat only a team like Mahnke & Irwin can pull off. 

This was such a big artistic moment for me in Johns' run. Mahnke gets Black Hand's eyes perfect here; that horrifying lifelessness is so real to me. 

I have to agree with K in the comment above. The inking is tasty in this. 

I would love to see Johns' script description for this DPS. The image is simple, yet complex. 

One of the greatest rivalries in all of DC Comics lore.

I am losing my mind over this one!! This is TOP Mahnke representing the culmination of not only the greatest writer's run on GL EVER-- Geoff Johns'-- BUT arguably also the greatest run on any superhero title in the history of comics. 

This is a huge one, man. I would like to know the story of how you got this. Even if it's a simple one- I want to feel like I was there with you when you picked it up. I'll DEFINITELY be back to stare at this one in your gallery here on CAF. WHOO. 

This is great! I love Red Guy. And I dig whenever Guy and Hal partner up. The whole page is fun and action-packed with a simple panel featuring the two Lanterns back to back in solidarity to punctuate it all. 

Such a big deal to receive a retirement gift like this from an artistic great like Gibbons. 

This is a perfect GL page. I love the symmetry of the page, seeing Hal fly around in space, Hal swooshing up to face a planet and its moons in the final panel, and how he thinks and stresses about handling a problem for the Guardians and problems  with Ferris. 

Seriously- this is perfect.

Are you kidding??!! I LOVE this page. It's one of the (many) pages etched in my DC comics fan brain. So much good ink highlighting some of the best JSA has to offer. Magog is a favorite of mine and I also adore Lantern in his Kingdom Come armor.

I love Jade. And Eaglesham's depiction of her has so much emotion, especially in this splash. Top pick-up.
