Avengers 116 page 1 by Bob Brown and Mike Esposito (1973) Owner: Kirk Dilbeck (3-Wishes and Patron-of-art) Comment posted on 9/13/2022 Trippy splash! The Englehart era of Avengers was soooo good...way different than Roy's era...it solidified the Avengers as the center of the marvel universe by linking all the disparate elements, from cowboys to Patsy Walker to the other-earth, etc... This was the biggest crossover since the Kree-Skrull War two years prior - and I did have the nostalgic pull - it was all anyone into comics talked about that year! |

Avengers #41 Owner: r. robert pollak Comment posted on 8/24/2022 Very early Buscema on Avengers, yet you can see the dynamism and dramatic angles I believe he favored. I especially like the second panel, as he brings to life a fantastic Dragon Man. To me this page is also at the beginning of a long chain leading Hank Pym to create Ultron. He gained custody of Dragon Man and studied his artificial intelligience. |

I have always loved Hank Pym and his many iterations. Such a great idea that he could show up as Giantman or Antman or Yellowjacket. I hated what shooter did to him as he was a favorite of mine! Great page! ![]() Hank's mental challenges are in full display here and I think set the stage for his later breakdown under Shooter. His latest incarnation as an Ultron Pym hybrid is logical extension and one of my favorites! |

When this came out I hated what he was doing with Hank. It was so troubling and a story like this needed to be said but why with one of my favorite characters? ![]() Totally hated it too! Brutal. It struck a nerve though, and forever altered our perception of Hank. I think it did set up Janet to become a much stronger character and a leader. |

Legion of Superheroes appearing in Adventures Comics Issue 365 Page 15 Owner: Aidan (Re-Legion ) Lacy Comment posted on 4/16/2022 Aidan, love your sharing. Each of us has heroes that they identify most with for very personal reasons and your story is quite moving. Although I consider myself an Avengers guy, Legion was a love too, starting all the way back with Jim Shooter, almost redefining DC with relatable characters. Great page showing Karate Kid's skill and perserverance.
