Yes! I love the character design with the black leather trenchcoat.  Of course, the character always seemed ready to pull a McConaughey and go shirtless, and pimp his guns.

Thanks, Mr. Bedwick!  I believe I read he had recently moved to the Catskills during that time.  All that beautiful scenery must have inspired his backgrounds, those amazing trees, grass and rocks.  The grass especially reminds me of the late, great Bernie Wrightson, perhaps not coincidentally, a friend and neighbor.

Yowza! That's the best Brunner pencil commission I've ever seen. Classic Brunner design with the ornate Window facing and framing of the flowers.  I think the subject matter must have really inspired him; those are finished pencils and then some. Everything about this piece is perfect. Cymoril is drop-dead gorgeous...

Back in the early 90s, I asked Starlin for a quickie sketch and he answered, that's what I do at home when I'm alone, by myself.  Forget who the adjacent artist was but there was lots of laughter.  He ended up doing a quickie Thanos anyways.  That's what she said!

I'd love to get a blank copy and commission him for a more polished sketch.

This is one of my favorite late Golden Age Kirby covers, a transition artifact between the Golden and Silver Ages. Congrats on owning this beauty.

This is so cool.  So different from the published version and the Kirby oeuvre as I know it.  What a unique and exceptional piece!

Great page!  Every page from the first 4 issues of Dreadstar, inked by Starlin, were gems.  But Vanth with his sword (perhaps inspired from an old Japanese film prop or perhaps from the same source - was surprised when I ran into that pursuing one of my other hobbies) and of course my favorite "& Co." character , Willow, make this an extra special page.

Its definitely an unused page from the 2 part Marvel Fanfare story.  What I love about it is it appears Starlin was bringing back that horse's ass, Spinxor from Pegasus, last seen in his only appearance providing the Him/Warlock recap in Strange Tales 178, the beginning of Starlin's Warlock saga.  Appears he was doing the same here.

Of course the bigger mystery, what's on the other side? :)
