Starlin's affection for the Hulk character really shows in this fantastic illustration.  Always love it when Jim employs a more unique inking style.

This is a really cool page, Starlin is by far his own best inker.  Great Syzygy and love all the cool Ditko inspired otherworldliness.

Kane was THE 70s Marvel cover artist!  Congrats on picking up this fantastic and sentimental favorite.  And Kraven is such a cool looking Ditko villain. 

One of the biggest (figure-wise) and best Warlock splashes.  Awesome inks, love all the cross-hatching and shading, very unique for Starlin, you can tell the inspiration was running high on this beauty.  

Love the King's covers for his 2nd tour of Marvel. They are so over the top crazy (in a great way) and I think the inkers were less apt to soften the Kirby pencils.  This one is just awesome!

Brings back great memories; I was also a huge Nova fan.  Always loved the costume design, and was surprised to learn years later that it was Marv Wolfman's, always assumed Romita or Buscema did it.  Very cool and congrats!  Those good feelings of owning something fondly remembered from your childhood are priceless!

I really love promo poster art.  Usually some of the best art of the series.  And this is a real beauty.  The vibrant red of the sun, Scout's mask and the stripes is very striking.  Awesome pick-up!

Still gazing at this wonderful page; although Ditko probably did it dozens (100s?) of times, I can't imagine a better Petey portrait than panel 6.  Ditko will always be the BEST Spider-Man artist!

And this is a spectacular Oedi page.  Not sure what to call it, but I love when Starlin did those facial close-ups, like the 3rd panel, where the face gets wide and distorted.  So cool.  

Doesn't get much better than Kirby & Sinnott FF.  Didn't really understand it at the time, but my interest/enthusiasm for Marvel left along with Jack (and Steve).  But what a remarkable 100+ issue run, the sheer imagination & creativity is truly unparalleled to this day.

I love these ASM character pages.  Ditko was such a great cartoonist.  His character designs, facial expressions and storytelling were without peer.  Even with the dated clothing, to my eyes, his art remains modern and fresh.  A true master. 

Wow, Bernie must have had a lot of enthusiasm for the character; to my eyes, this looks as inspired as his Swamp Thing art.  Just stunning.

Barry's Conan was gorgeous and I loved, as you mentioned, seeing the improvement/evolution of his art with each succeeding issue.  Brings back great memories...
