Wow, what a scene!  One of the better Ross prelims, which is saying a lot given how good they get.  

Beautiful!  I remember being so impressed with this one that I shelled out extra to buy the 1:300 sketch issue at my comic shop when it hit the stands.  Ross is so good, love it.

Thanks, I'm a fan of the little things on this one too.  The smoke trail with that residual boom ring was a really neat touch, I thought.  The little jack-o-lantern faces on the buttons of the gobbie purse was another. I actually hadn't noticed them until I was getting it framed.

Got worried when I saw this pop up in new art, thinking it might have changed hands.  I recalled seeing it for the first time, in the highlight slot, shortly after Tim's passing, and how perfect a selection I thought it was for that moment.  After clicking into the piece and reading the wonderful backstory, I was reassured that this one is not only EXACTLY where it belongs but also being put to very good use.  I'm not sure there is a better choice for an absolute edition cover than this.  And to think how many other folks might get to view it for the first time now, is a very warming thought indeed.  Happy New Year!

Honestly, I'm not sure I read that title either.  Or, if I did, it didn't stand out.  But I was a fan of the Maccio run as editor in general.

Not only a solo Sandman splash, with the Byrne kicker, but it's also from the Ralph Maccio era!  A golden age of comics in its own right.  Congrats on the very cool page and good luck with the rest of the Six.

UX-F was sooooo good!  Remender took the ball from Kyle/Yost and really ran with it.  That gray & black look is probably my favorite of all the X-Team looks.  Great example here, with Fantomex looking bad ass as ever.  Congrats!

Ramos's Spider-Men (and Boy) are so great, I sometimes forget how much I dig his takes on other characters.  Really digging Cap & Thor here as well, in this classic "heroes chargin' at ya" scene.  Congrats!

So good.  Such detail in the face, I found myself zooming in to try and appreciate it all.  You're right about those eyes, very intense and I love the color.  That mouth hole is pretty spooky looking too.  Without lips, it's hard to picture Swamp Thing snarling but the depth crated here kinda feels to me like he is.  Congrats!

I love Ross prelims and seeing his process unfold.  Great arrangement of the four pre & post accident, it's really cool.  The Thing's pose kinda reminds me of FF#1 too, if he were that green guy at least.  Congrats!

Great page.  Gotta love Magneto beating up on a Sentinel!  That top/left panel is killer too, Magneto is looking so bad ass there.   

Wow!  So many characters, such great detail, there is simply so much to like about this one.  I think my favorite feature might be the faces reflected in the blade of the sword though.  Reflections as a means to pack in even more awesomeness is always a fun device and its employed well here.  Congrats!

I was watching this one when it was up for auction.  Really liked the layout & Punisher emerging from the shadows, preceeded by that beautiful skull.  Probably the very last think any baddie wants to see.  Great get, so badass!  

Just saw this pop up in the Top/Left slot for the first time and the thumbnail alone was stunning!  After clicking into the larger image, my jaw dropped even farther.  I'm not sure there is enough space to describe all the things I love about this piece.  It is just an amazing scene, in every way possible.

So much to like here!  But the symbiote creeping over Peter in the old suit kinda gives that SW #8 pose a whole new vibe.  Like fear-to-excitement ratio moves a little more to the left in this version.  Really cool page, congrats!

Wow!  Not much dwarfs The Hulk but that church interior sure does.  Impressive looking scene.    

That top panel is perfect.  Such a dynamicly violent & imposing looking threat, coming right at ya.  Bad ass.

Glad this one found a good home!  And I totally agree with your logic on the newer Black Suit art, that's what first drew me to this page as well.  While I later sold it to make room/funds for something else, I still do love that explosion!

Those two close ups of Spider-Man & Miles are great.  Ramos consistently gets such good expressions out of characters wearing masks.  Love it.

Epic cover!  Love the villains all posed up, as if for a portrait, contrasted by the heroes' dynamic approach on the scene.  Stegman's Spider-Man work is always great but the wraparound size makes it even more special.  Congrats!

I remember really enjoying this series. It was a lone glimmer of hope for those of us still unhappy with Mr. JMS and it turned out to be a great read, with tremendous visuals as well. Case in point.

Beautiful cover, really like the arrangement with that split down the middle.  Was super bummed to read of Cassaday's passing today.  Fell in love with his work on Astonishing X-Men and from then on I found myself giving most anything he had a hand in a read.      

Bianchi was the bomb on Astonishing!
