Aargh! I used to own this page and foolishly traded it away about 10 years ago. I want a do-over! Which is a long way of saying WHAT A GREAT PAGE THIS IS! Congrats!

These MS #5 pages are absolute gold nuggets. Love seeing them pop up in collections. Every page from this issue is grail worthy!

Thank you Andy. Honored. I think I did this 6 or 7 years ago. I consider it a cover break thru piece for me in that I hadn't drawn a lot of covers up to this point. This opened up the door. Enjoy the art!

I gotta go with Felix on this, roughly side ways back of head, right arm stretched forward. The rendition works well imagining it from the front as you see it Jim, but I think then you would HAVE to see Batmans left ear (to the viewers right) in that orientation. EITHER WAY, it's an ANMAZING piece of history you've got there!

Masterpiece. Always loved this one. One of the best Frazetta 70's ink drawings. Just incredible.

It's a crime that such a gorgeous Adams/Giordano page like this, and from one of the greatest Batman story-lines only has 8 comments. This page is legend and should be appreciated for the masterpiece that it is.

Looks like Jeff Jones inks. This was the issue Wrightson got help on from Jones.

Wow! This is my single favorite Tim Sale piece, Batman or otherwise. The ink technique is to die for. 

Superb example! Wrightson't Warren work, taken as a whole, might be the pinnacle of his career (and no, I haven't forgotten his glorious Frankenstein opus), and this page shows why. Beautiful.

Haven't drawn a new story in about 12 years. No real itch to do so. Covers are a fun, cost effecient and less stressful diversion for me at this point of my career.

I've drawn a few stories and confidence in my sorytelling was never a problem. Speed, productivity and endurance were the issue, and I was ultimately given better opportunities and paid far more as an inker than a as a penciller.

GREAT cover! Super memorable to me who bought the book off the stands as a 14 year old. 1974 Brunner, as well as 1974 Starlin, was the best of the best of that era, and this is one of Brunner's best.

Silverstri art is always just epic, and this is no exception. Beautiful.
