Excellent point, Marcus!  The R on this one is very similar to the B on the Brainiac 5 piece, but I like that this one is a little more distinct once you notice it.

Oh, that's hilarious!  And it reminds me, someone in Barry's FB group commented on this piece and said something along the lines of "I don't know much about Orandan anatomy, but shouldn't that costume be revealing some scandalous bits?".  Barry replied "She is the mistress of illusions" with a winky face.  So I guess the takeaway from our two stories is that Jeckie's costume is exactly as revealing as she wants it to be, which is very.

It's such a good costume!  I love the linked belt and the unique way the cape folds over her shoulders.

I've heard that period of Legion costume history referred to as the "Great Fabric Shortage of the 2970s"!  I'm sure the Legionnaires were just doing their part for the galactic economy by reducing the amount of fabric their costumes used. ;)

As an avid enjoyer of the colours blue and green, the background is my favourite part of this card.  But I will say, this was an excellent and unique concept to ask for!

it's the last one for now, but I don't think I'll be able to keep myself from commissioning more cards in short order!  Nice catch picking up on the background planets matching the costume - Derec does that fairly often, which is a neat little touch.

I remember seeing the linework for this one and just breaking into a big old grin.  It's a fantastic card, and you can tell Derec had a great time coming up with the concept! :D

I love that this one is your favourite!  Even though he's one of the more obscure Legionnaires, M-E Lad just has that fun appeal to him.

I was planning to mention how much I appreciated all the detail in Inferno's physique, but I didn't want to come across like I was falling for his charms. ;)

Okay, this one's absolutely adorable.  Excellent choice of both character and artist!

Unfortunately, art from this run is very hard to come across, so I've never personally managed to reunite a prelim with its final product.  R Berman in the comment above yours has a finished piece with the prelims matched to it, though!  I love how these prelims show that Barry's art is so beautiful because a ton of thought and work goes into each page before he ever starts working on the piece that's actually going to be published.
