Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot Issue: 2 Page: 26 Owner: Peter P Comment posted on 11/29/2009 You could stare at these pages for hours and still not pick up all the details, then realize that Geoff sat there and drew all of it by hand! Mad genius (as Bach's Toccata And Fugue plays on iTunes as I type this), beautiful work! |

Paul Chadwick Concrete Sketch Owner: Royd Burgoyne Comment posted on 11/11/2009 I love how Paul infused life into this simple sketch by adding a few clouds, birds, and having Concrete peering over the cliff, leaving us to wonder just what it is that has captured Ron's attention. Could Maureen be frolicking on the beach below? Beautiful piece, congrats! |

Congrats on a great page with a nice sketch (he's still got it!)! |

Randall Factor with Mary Medea as Glorianna of Phoebus and Erotica Ann 333 Owner: Michael Wm Kaluta Comment posted on 8/28/2009 That just seems like an insane amount of linework for something that became unused! Glad you're sharing this stuff here where we can enjoy it! Beautiful piece! |

LEONARDI - Cloak and Dagger (1987) Owner: Jean-Paul Gabilliet Comment posted on 8/19/2009 Beautiful! Love the way Rick's able to use the pencil lines to make the darkness of Tyrone's cloak delineate the light eminating from Dagger in uniform directions. That kinda gets lost in the inking, so nice to have a great pencil-only pin-up! |

DAREDEVIL 232 (1986) Owner: Lorenzo Fratini Comment posted on 8/4/2009 I agree with your assessment that Mazzucchelli improved even within the confines of this 7 issue storyline. By this point, we're watching a master; given a fantastic script, his drawings compliment the words, not merely illustrating what you've already read. And the linework is beautiful, rich and full. One of my absolute favorite stories, in any medium, ever. Congrats on 2 beauties! |

CEREBUS 43 (1982) Owner: Lorenzo Fratini Comment posted on 8/4/2009 Any Cerebus page with Lord Julius Groucho on it is worth it! Also, thanks for the description of why the pages mean what they do (loved the baseball analogy in your Dave Sim Gallery description)! Great stuff! |

WEB OF SPIDER MAN ANNUAL 2 (1986) Owner: Lorenzo Fratini Comment posted on 8/4/2009 Wow, Art Adams doing Spidey (in the black suit!) and Godzilla on the same page! Very cool! This is probably my favorite era for Adams' work as well. And in the credit department, Arthur would be the first person to tell you that he got those webs from Michael Golden! Fantastic page, congrats! |

Rom 18 Cover Owner: David Mandel Comment posted on 7/17/2009 In the few instances that Terry Austin inked Frank Miller, he managed to provide a very unique interpretation of Miller's pencils, that I think worked very well! I especially like the way this cover came out, something about the light and shadows mixed with the snowstorm, and characters Miller hardly ever worked on (Colossus?!? Maybe twice ever!!), that make this one really stand out. Not for sale...how about a donation to a needy friend? ;) |

Moon Knight #28 back cover pencils Owner: Robert (Dr Bob) Reilly Comment posted on 7/5/2009 I always loved this piece, and while I get why they went with the final image for the cover of #29, I prefer this image simply as a single piece, a testament to Sienkiewicz' fantastic artistic abilities. This is a beautiful portrait, and a wonderful example of his talent with a pencil. Love the notes at the top too, had never seen those before! Thanks for sharing! |
