A terrific sketch and from the right vintage when Sandman was going strong as the flagship title of Vertigo.  Bringing this image to today is quite poetic, like Hob Gadling seeing his friend once more after not seeing him for a century.

Krystalized Kirby Krackle!

Beautifully designed!  It looks so good when artists recognize using negative space for the white costumed Moon Knight!  Very dynamic with the crescents in perspective.   

If you're only going to have one Moon Knight in your collection, this one hits the Marc ;)

Look at those feathers!  The concentration on them doesn't waver and speaks to the effort put into where the real focus (Morpheus) is on this piece.

I can appreciate the detail on the wings. Love the eminating power effects as well!

The piece is quite delightfully composed with the menhir filling up the space because Falbala is slight compared to Obelix.

Looks complete enough to give us an idea of how dreams would appear and then fade away once you wake up.

The helmet is a scene stealer, but the cloak has a life of its own to balance the composition.

The thin pen line is magnificent.  It has influences of what The Studio was doing back in the 70's.  The hours of work this took make this something truly to behold!

Beautiful bookend piece!

Milou can be Tintin's horse!  The inks are slick and provide a contrast of the coat textures! 

I like how he embellished Captain Haddock here.  It makes you think why didn't Tintin do the same for the Professor, Thompson and Thompson, and the Big Chief.

Positive public relations for robots this fall with a few franchises in theaters.  This is what Matt Dixon does best as these raw sketches get his initial ideas down and the painted illos are more about skill than feeling and storytelling. 

Hot!  Dunbar is a fan favorite!  I like the sands of time slipping from Sandman's fingers.

The artist have used pin point width black and white pens to etch in every bit of the pattern.

A solemn look of meditation with the striking use of moody watercolors. 

Great fit!  A Sandman anime and manga adaptation like Jill Thompson's At Death's Door and Dead Boy Detectives already gives us hints on how it would look.

Buckingham delivers a story with Brute and Glob being banished and washed away by the sands of time and dreaming.  

The layered coloring of varying blues and purples get the most out of the mood for this piece.

He give it his all in this illustration.  I think it's as good if not better than his published depictions in the books.

The free flowing font is right in sync with the cowl and cape. Really nice!

Should be prized as much as the print!  A tinge of sadness in his face with those sunken eyes and unkept hair.

With the current revival of Jonny Quest by Dyanmite Comics, Hempel and Wheatley's Comico run was also brought back into he spotlight!  Lots of fond memories as it coincided with a new show that didn't last as long as the comic series.

Rudy is a legend!  His long resume and enduring quality should tell you that these pieces are the culmination of his experiences and work through the decades.

A fantastic supernatural touch with darkness in the sunken eyes!  The feathery strokes on the suit represent Matthew and the hair style blending in with the swirls of magical energy is great too.  The strong facial features in this form by Renato Oak has more depth than ever before.

Soothing and cool with the blue shading!  I guess the red ruby in the middle of this composition represents his heart and how it still has a passion of life.

Wonderfulk in how the simplicity of line cradles that emotion Hempel places in Death.

The cover works so wonderfully as the robotic form is kept in the cold shadows in silhouette as it ponders the unexplainable phenomena of those colors.
