Even though he was most likely sick with the cancer that took his life, still a powerful image.  Buscema was like Kubert.....a natural.  All his characters were always in balance.  To me, he was the realistic Kirby.  I would have loved to see Giacoia inks on this.  Congrats on having this gem in your collection !

The layout and action are all Kirby.  Not a fan of Milgrom inks, however.  Wood was still alive at this point.  If I was Roy, I would have brought him in to ink Kirby exclusively.  And I would have paid Wood well to do inks.  Covers like this would have popped, as well as the Kirby Captain America Bi-Centennial series.

Murphy was one of the most under rated inkers of the Silver Age.  I never saw a penciler that he couldn't improve.  And that used to be the job of the inker.  Congrats on having this great page in your collection !

For some reason, the criminals in NYC prowl around the back alleys but never look up.  In this case, if they had looked up, they would have seen a classic SpiderMan in the act of webbing them up.  Beautiful work by Dell'Otto once again.  He is a consistent master and never disappoints.  Congrats on owning this gem !

Solid Kirby early 1960 work that, to me, mimics his incredible work on Challengers and applies it to the western genre.  No squiggles.  No slashes.  No exaggeration.  Just top notch illustration and staging that immediately pulls the reader in.  Congrats on owning this superb early Kirby page !

Amazing that Kirby banged these pages out for $10/pg even back in the late 50s.  Excellent figure work ala Sky Masters.  And maybe even a foreshadowing of early Thing portrayals in the Kraggoom character.  Congrats on owning this classic piece !
