Excellent and pointed stuff throught your galleries. This one hit me as particularly powerful if only becase of its bold simplicity. Closest I've been to China is a visit to Taiwan during one of its more insistent bids for independance. Was an odd experience for an American. Not that we're much better these days...sigh...

Thanks! Not technically an Amazon, but the principle's the same; proficiency with a bow is why she's missing the breast. Very good graphic novel, if you can find it these days.

I can commiserate. As the artist on one of the most rare Magic cards (11 in print), I had my copy stolen at a signing event. Mine will never show up on the open market, since prices of upwards of $20,0000 have been offered for a single card, and I'm not likely to find out what became of it. The upside, if there is one, is that it got my wife and I a week's free stay in a high-level hotel suite in Tokyo. Glad you got this one back.

I was fortunate enough to get to briefly possess a batch of Rebecca's originals when WOTC inadvertently sent me the wrong envelope of originals. Hard to dend 'em back to her, since I love her stuff. I've never seen Jan Duursema in person, but am grinnign quietly at her resemblance to her version of the character Arion.

Mucha is one of my biggest influences, and I think you've caught the essence of his style very well with this piece. This fits quite nicely into the Nouveau style just as it is.
