Amazing Rob! I love his line art. His inking is some of the best in the hobby. You don't realize how good it is until you have a page in your hands and angle it in natural light. Adds to your first rate collection!

I bought nearly all the Moon Nights off the stands when I was a kid. I liked him even when he wasn't so "cool". This simple cover excited me the most when I saw it---a bring back to his original storyline. Where many (most?) comic art collectors go exculsively for the artwork itself, the storyline is equally important to me. This is one of those cases---but don't get me wrong, as artwork in and of itself, it's fantastic. Congrats!!!!!

Nice splash! Similar in layout to the splash from Monsters Unleashed #1 werewolf story. The MU is a double page splash---so basically the right side of the splash. Congrats on this!

Nothing better than finding your grail piece...I've honestly had a few. But to (somewhat) borrow your memory...mine involves my father way back when I didn't even know there was a collector brewing in me. It actually took two years for the "true" collector/hoarder to emerge. But my grail was the Kenneth Smith Creepy 41 cover. I still remember the rainy day, jumping out of my dad's car, and running into the newsstand to pick up a comic or magazine. Mad magazine was what I was thinking---but when I saw the Creepy cover, and the cute girl who worked in the shop and called me "honey!!!!", I wanted to prove to her I knew what I wanted and bought the Creepy. I knew where the cover resided for nearly 30 years. The owner knew I wanted it, and priced it accordingly. When it sold to someone else, that person sold it to me for a song (thanks Eric!). It is not my best piece of art---but has the most memories attached to it. Goes well with the Corben story I got! Congrats my friend! you did well.....

I wouldn't have gotten this story if a good friend didn't sell me the cover.....................that was the deal I had with the former story owner....

To be totally fair and honest---I basically only collect stuff that I grew up with. I remember the cover to Monsters Unleashed #1---but never actually owned the book as a kid. Yet, when years later I thumbed thru a copy of the book, I was blown away by the story. Finding the cover was one thing---getting the story was relatively easy. A good friend of mine had it, and I didn't even know. He told me about it when he knew I was hot for the cover. He didn't want to sell it, but agreed to if I landed the cover. Hence......

Great page. This story is one of Ortiz's best. I have five full stories, and some are more detailed than others. Death Snare he hit it out of the  park with. Probably why it was a great story to break up!

Not being an expert on Lovecraft I would say possibly. When I asked Bob about the piece, I thought that was an interpretation of Dagon, because of the old one in the right bottom of the painting. But I know there's some kind of weird god-like creature in innsmouth as well, so....Bob told me it was a Shoggoth, whatever the hell that is!

If it had a Frazetta lady on it I couldn't afford to buy it!!!!!!! This one practically killed me as it was....but definitely a good point!

I can't tell you how many times my wife tells me 'you know it's make-believe'....my remark is alway the same----So!

I remember seeing this beauty in person. I was offered either this, the Secret People (watercolor) and the painting I ended up with, the Dracula (Creepy 5) at this private seller's home. This painting was stunning! Really popped with the black background and bright colors. Being that I wanted a Warren Publishing original, my choice was made before I saw the other two offered. But if money was no object, I would've walked away with two paintings.....

This should be in a museum---or your collection. Same thing!!!! Congrats on this beauty. Who doesn't know and love this cover...

Enric is the most photo realistic artist I've ever seen. His covers from the original Warren Vampirella series blew me away when I was a kid looking at them on the newsstands. Now (many) years later, and seeing most of his originals in person, I still can't believe they are not photographs. Even under magnification when it's more apparent that it is brush work, when you move away again, you still can't tell that it's not a photograph! The guy is amazing. And so is this beauty you have. Congrats!

It may be, especially if you bought it around 20 years ago. Mayo commissions, unlike some other Warren artists have not lost any of their original spunk. He may have even improved in some ways. I own two complete original Mayo stories from his last issue runs, which I feel were superior to many of his earlier stories. After his Warren days, his commissions had a more slender figure on Vampi, which made her boobs look even bigger. He always drew full chested woman---part of his appeal---but different post Warren than Warren days. Congrats on this. When I get the time I'll look through his later issues and see if I run accross this one

Is this a Warren published splash? It has the look of some of his later commissions. It's amazing either way, though

Great cover! I remember buying this off the stands. Regardless of the artist, I always felt this is one of the top five Spidey covers of all times. Plus your story and burning desire to get this make the conquest that much more special. I've been there before---I know the feeling. HUGE congrats!

Very well done! I own the Frazetta that gave homage to this beautiful pencil. It was said that Frazetta wanted to alter the original to put a girl in it and remove the two guys out. Frank already painted out the two guys (which has been restored to it's original state)...but never got around to painting the girl in---which was suppose to be for another project. As much as I'm a Warren Publishing purist, if he did alter the painting the same way this pencil is done, I can't say I'd be upset.

As you see, it from Vampirella #3. If I could make a suggestion, get the magazines instead of the reprint trade books. The reproduction of the artwork is much better in the original magazines

Keif. I can't believe I didn't look at this sooner. This has got to be one of the best line art pieces I've ever seen from Morrow. It is definitely previously unknown to my eyes---and I usually only purchase (or long for) pieces that are nostalgic to me... but I gotta admit if I saw this at a show, I'd have a hard time leaving without it! Congrats!

I must correct you...it was not one of the best Wood did for Warren...it was THE absolute best story Wood did for Warren. You definitely have a great page from this story. Congrats!
