Congratulations on a truly exquisite illustration!  I love how the circular layout leads the viewer's eye from one character to another and the finely detailed pencil rendering is spectacular!

A neat note about this cover is that JB's ex-wife took the photo of the White House and JB gave her a cover credit.  Congrats on a cool, and very unique, piece!

Most collectors I know (myself certainly included) have had to sell precious pieces to make a pressing "real-life" payment or to finance some other comic art that they want more what they are parting with.  Most folks who have had to go this route (myself certainly included) regret having sold many of those precious pieces! 

I still have my battered copy of the first Frankenstein portfolio which also used this image as its cover and it is forever burned in my memory.  I wish I even had the opportunity to see the original artwork in person, let alone to own it!  

I am sorry you had to let this one go, but at least you had the pleasure of being its caretaker for a while! 

Congratulations on adding this terrific page to your outstanding collection!  JBNM is an incredible series and this is great example of John's brush work on the artwork and fantastic storytelling using powerful female characters!

Sadly, Neal Adams has passed away, but his legend lives on through the comics that inspired so many.  Congratulations on having several wonderful examples of his work in your fabulous collection!  This one is certainly one of my favorites, Neal inking his own pencils is a special treat and the story-telling is about as good as it gets.  A true grail from a very memorable issue!

Congratulations on a truly epic Tim Truman cover!  First Comics published some of my favorite comics in the 1980's; this was one of the titles that set the hook and helped cure me of being a total Marvel Zombie!

Hi Scott!  Yes, the artwork is drawn on a sheet of Duo-shade board, so I guess it's technicaly a "mixed-media" piece rather than pencil and ink!

These Kirby/Smith pages are all gems in my opinion!  They mesh together just fine in my eyes, and I especially enjoy how each of their styles shines through and compliments the other.  Bravo and BIG congratulations!

Classic stuff!  Bill Sienkiewicz was really hitting his stride on Moon Knight at this time; those issues were must reads for me each month and this is a great page!  It's got several Moon Knight panels, but my favorite is that creepy rat in the middle panel!  Congratualtions!

WOW!  Pure Wrightson magic from his prime period; congratulations on an epic illustration!!!

Congratulations on an absolutely incredible cover!  Such a memorable piece; all of the characters look great, and it is a special treat to see JB draw Ghost Rider!

Congratulations on a TRULY epic illustration by Walt Simonson!  At 20" x 30" this one really does have to be seen in person to fully appreciate its grandeur!  Everything about this piece is fantastic, but I especially love how Walt incorporated the Silver Surfer # 4 cover homage at the bottom; having the characters on separate sides of the large hammer gives the illustration a wonderful balance.  It took a bit of time and patience to finally get this beauty completed, but it most certainly was worth the wait!!!

This comment slipped under my radar until I recently began updating my gallery with more Pogo artwork... rest assured Mr. Adams, my bubble is not burst.  While you may think the dialoge is funnier reading it as W.C. Fields, the bear character is most certainly a parody of Khrushchev.  If you had bothered to actually read Beau Pogo, this would have been crystal clear.  I have added the cover of the book and two additional images that should clarify things for you.

Congratulations on assembling this terrific sequence; I especially like the punchline in the final strip!  Thank you as well for the smooth and equitable trade; it was a pleasure meeting another Pogo collector who truly loves the strip and does not rake you over the coals to get what they want!  :)

Sincere condolences from one "cat person" to another on the loss of your feline friend.  Cats are special in that they "choose" their human companions.  There is nothing quite like the bond of a cat who chooses you to share their life and the loss of such friendship is heartbreaking.  While you will never replace nor forget Harriet, here's hoping another feline chooses you to be their companion when the time is right.

This was a tough one to let go, thank you for giving it a great home!!!
