Unless I have gone mad, I cannot remember ever seeing this Finlay before. In what I consider his transition period. I always think of his artwork in terms of periods as his art style shifted  over time. Sadly, I have to settle for just one finished illustration by him. When your tears of sympathy and empathy end, you can send one over in my direction.

I think its time for someone with a clearer mind to type. The fairest solution is for the person with most Finlays to send  someone with less, the artwork. Now, heres the crux of the matter. You both have loads and I have a mere one example. Lets not slip into communism but spread the love around. When the revolution happens and America falls, revolting peasants will storm your 'palaces' and take them anyway. Send your art to me. I will keep it safe.

This is such an outstanding Western cover example. Saunders came up with a fabulous, slightly upshot perspective which really helps emphasize the dramatic nature of the moment, and the lighting effect is superb. The fact that the paint looks as rich and fresh as the day it was painted certainly adds to the overall strength of the piece. Kudos, Doug!
