This commission is really astounding! Death looks definitely ready to take her place on a chessboard against Max Von Sydow in a Bergman movie. I have rarely seen such an original and powerful take on the character, congrats to you and to Mr. Sale for producing such a beautiful work of art.

The details on the background is something really astonishing. It's clearly done to render at best the effect on the white wing, but probably it took much more time and effort than the easy and logical option of detailing the wing itself. When you things for beauty's sake, in spite of time - then, it is art, and nothing else. An incredible, beautiful piece you have here, congrats!

Wow! This is a beautiful and haunting sequence. Almost scary, I would say. I really dig the incredible camera movement that Mr. Zulli was able to convey in this piece. Throw in his beautiful trademark linework, and the final result is a really powerful - yet simple - exercise in graphic storytelling. Great piece, really.

This is ready for the Kirbypedia, page 1. Just one of the most brilliant images I have seen, it doesn't matter the period or the publisher. The Kamandi line about the comic book is just priceless - which means that, whatever you paid for this piece, you had a deal!!

Felix in a McFarlane page is really a plus. Not that this great action scene needed any improvement, it was a great page already! And I entirely agree with you about the fact that this was probably one of Todd's finest moments, his run on Amazing really can be considered his finest moment.

As long as McFarlane run on Hulk is concerned, you cannot get a page better than this one you have here. Or maybe I am wrong: most probably you cannot get a better page as long as the whole Hulk character is concerned. Impressive.

I loved this series of stories, but even if I didn't, you cannot avoid to appreciate a Buscema/Palmer splash page with all team featured. This was one of the greatest runs of modern comics - and you got a great example!

GenX, Bachalo finest hour? I am more than positive about it. I appreciated so much the special layouts, with all the icons, just like the ones you have in this page here. And, the first panel with the mansion really have an incredible level of detail. Beautiful piece!

The David/Quesada run on XFactor has been one of the shining diamonds of the 90's. I remember those issues so well. You got yourself one of the best pages, with great storytelling and great team shots mixed togheter, this piece is really a beauty!

The best page (not just among panels) of one of the best selling comics ever. Not at all a small thing. Some recognition should be given even to Mr. Nicieza for the very funny lines - Don't use that mark garbage for positioning again - it's great! Maybe it didn't mean too much, but it was cool as hell.

The cover finally made justice for this pinup. That's were it deserved to be. One of the most striking images of the "Steel Age" of comics!

The level of the art during this run on DD was incredibly high. It doesn't hurt that those pages featured some of the best writing of Ann Nocenti, that gave us some really unforgettable characters. You got an important page for your collection, congrats!

From this page, I remember the first panel very well: there was an incredible interaction between script and art (what a great idea justify the presence of the cameras in DD perceptions through the noise of the zoom). Even the position of captions contributed to the movement of the scene. And in the following panels, there is a great dynamics created by the proximity of the wide scene and the following close ups. And, you are very right when you say that the script was great. I bet that Mr. Chichester had clearly in mind to echo the famous page from Born Again where Kingpin regrets to have shown to Murdock that "A man without hope is a man without fear" - panic is now the perfect payback for his cold cruelty. A combined edition of Born Again and Last Rites would make perfect sense, it would make a great read!

"I am not smiling. I am not". I remember this page, so well. It was so perfect for the moment, with DD waiting for the upcoming confrontation. And you tell me this was an impromptu filler? I mean, 99% of scripted pages are usually worst! This is shocking.

A great commission. Looks very simple, but it's obviously the result of a long study. The shadow background and the lights effects on the shoulders and in the eyes are mesmerizing. Must be impressive seen in person, must look alive.

I personally believe that whatever price you paid for this page, it was money well spent. You can hardly find a better fighting sequence in the McFarlane SpiderMan opus. I personally believe that this is superior even to the later (non-amazing) production, is much more fresh and funny. You did the right thing, Jason!
